Amylase Reagents

This amylase reagents kit is used for in-vitro quantitative determination of -Amylase in human serum.

Method:

Amylase reagents use a substrate-specific enzymatic assay to measure amylase activity in human serum and plasma. The method involves the hydrolysis of CNPG3 (2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl-α-D-maltotrioside) by amylase, releasing CNPG2 and 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol (CNP). The formation of CNP generates a measurable colour change, with intensity directly proportional to amylase activity. This reaction is monitored photometrically to ensure accurate quantification, aiding in the diagnosis of pancreatic and salivary gland disorders.

Application: Diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic disorders, such as acute pancreatitis.
